Hillary Clinton leaves hospital, is recovering at home
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has left the hospital after receiving treatment for a blood clot in her brain. She is now recuperating at home, according to tweets from Clinton's daughter Chelsea. Chelsea writes, "Grateful my Mom discharged from the hospital & is heading home. Even more grateful her medical team confident she'll make a full recovery."
"Thank you to the doctors, nurses & staff at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Medical Center for taking great care of my Mom," adds Chelsea.
Clinton was hospitalized for four days after a blood clot was found between her brain and skull behind her right ear during a follow-up exam after she sustained a concussion from a fall in December at her home in Washington D.C.
Philippe Reines, a senior advisor to the secretary, says in a statement, "Her medical team advised her that she is making good progress on all fronts, and they are confident she will make a full recovery."
