United Press International is reporting that a businessman in Berlin, Germany got quite a surprise when he went to pay his $134.66 bill at the Grill Royal restaurant. Turns out actor George Clooney had already paid the man's bill.

The man, whose name has not been released, says his waiter told him that Clooney and his party feared they had been rude and too loud while the man was trying to eat, so Clooney paid for his dinner.

"That's not true at all. They had behaved in a very cultivated manner. I was stunned," says the man, who left his business card at the restaurant in the hopes of someday returning the favor.

Clooney is currently on location in Germany shooting scenes for "The Monuments Men," a film about saving priceless works of art before Hitler could destroy them during World War II. Clooney is directing and starring, alongside Daniel Craig and Cate Blanchett.
