Emmylou Harris accident earns country star a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge

Country star Emmylou Harris has been charged with a misdemeanor hit-and-run after a car accident she was involved in back in October, reports the AP.

Los Angeles prosecutors charged Harris Wednesday (Jan. 30) for failing to exchange information with a driver whose car she hit on the freeway on Oct. 1. The criminal complaint filed in Beverly Hills did not contain details about how much damage was incurred.

Harris has not commented on the accident. She continues to tour and is scheduled to release an album in late February 2013.
