Commander in Chief ball: Michelle Obama wears Jason Wu, Jennifer Hudson serenades the first couple
The first time President Obama was inaugurated, there were 10 balls to attend. This time around, there were only two. But that didn't stop President and Mrs. Obama from stepping out in their finest. Michelle Obama donned Jason Wu for the Commander in Chief's ball, a fire-engine red chiffon and velvet gown accessorized by Jimmy Choo shoes and a ring by Kimberly McDonald. Wu is the same designer the first lady chose to wear to the first inaugural balls, when she wore a one-shoulder white number.
And the A-list musical guests continued, with Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys headlining the festivities. Watch below as Hudson serenades the first couple with "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green.
Looks like a good time was had by all.
