Burt Reynolds released from hospital after battling flu

After being hospitalized Friday with the flu, Reuters reports actor Burt Reynolds has been released. The news was confirmed by his representative, Erik Kritzer. The actor was admitted with dehydration before being placed in the Intensive Care Unit.

Monday, Kritzer commented that Reynolds was on the mend, saying, "He's feeling better," and predicting he'd be released soon. The name of the hospital the actor was in has been not been released, as Reynolds prefers to keep that information private.

Influenza has been particularly vicious this year, though that is said most years, reaching "epidemic" proportions by the CDC's standards.
