Bethenney Frankel files for divorce from Jason Hoppy

Fans may have gotten their hopes up for a possible reconciliation between Bethenny Frankel and her estranged husband, Jason Hoppy, when it came to light the pair were still living together despite announcing a separation.

But no good news is to be had in the case of this relationship, as Bethenny has now formally filed for divorce. TMZ reports the reality star turned television host started the proceedings via court paperwork in New York just two weeks after news broke of the couple's separation.

At the time of the announcement, Bethenny released a statement saying, "This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family."

Bethenny and Jason were married in 2010, with their relationship the subject of a "Real Housewives of New York City" spin-off show, entitled "Bethenny Getting Married?," which aired as "Bethenny Ever After" in its second season.

The pair have one daughter together, Bryn Hoppy. In 2012, Bethenny revealed she and Jason had been expecting a second child, but she suffered a miscarriage.
