Arnold loves Maria: Schwarzenegger trying to save marriage with Shriver

Is Arnold Schwarzenegger's relationship with Maria Shriver really over for good? In a new interview, it's revealed that Arnold loves Maria still and is hoping that California's former first couple can get back together.

"We're not fighting any war. I still hope for reconciliation. I love Maria still," Schwarzenegger tells Bild, Germany's top newspaper.

The answer was in response to a question where the paper asked if the former Governator was spending Christmas with his family -- including his ex-wife. It could be that this is just a holiday tradition, as Shriver reportedly also spent Christmas with Schwarzenegger and their four children in 2011.

It also could be that Shriver and Schwarzenegger are on the road to healing. He spilled the beans about his secret love child with housekeeper Mildred Baena in his book "Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story", and considering the fact that was the secret that caused Shriver to divorce him, she could be ready to forgive now that Schwarzenegger has come clean about his shame. Almost a year ago it was reported that Schwarzenegger and Shriver are "not reconciling," so if Schwarzenegger's comment is true, it sounds like there have been some big changes in since 2012.
