'The Lone Ranger' trailer: Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer ride for justice
It's time to gear up, Kemo Sabe. The new trailer for "The Lone Ranger" has arrived, and it's a whole lot better than the first one that we saw back in October.
This film is a Gore Verbinski movie through and through, and the action scenes and interesting characters are displayed well in this trailer. It's nice to see Armie Hammer getting a chance to rise in the spotlight instead of his costar Johnny Depp, though it remains to be seen who will act as the leading man in the film. It looks here like Depp does a good job playing second fiddle to Hammer's Lone Ranger -- or at least, he does a good job of that when he's not stealing scenes by talking to a certain white horse.
"The Lone Ranger" follows the character of lawman John Reid as he turns into a "legend of justice." His spirit warrior partner, Tonto, tells his tale. In addition to Depp and Hammer, the film stars Tom Wilkinson, Helena Bonham Carter, William Fichtner and Ruth Wilson. "The Lone Ranger" is due out on May 31, 2013.
