'The Great Gatsby' trailer shows Baz Luhrmann's true colors

Just in case you were worried that seeing Leonardo DiCaprio's villainous turn in "Django Unchained" would ruin his Hollywood hunk status, have no fear, because the new "The Great Gatsby" trailer is here. Though the film was bumped back from its planned Christmas Day release date to May 10, 2013, this film is definitely Hollywood's holiday gift to us.

The new trailer plays up all of the quirks that we've come to love in Baz Luhrmann's films. Epic modern soundtrack? Check. Glamorous party and dance sequences? Check. Beautiful, heartbreaking love story? That's the biggest check of them all. Though the first teaser released had us on board, this new look at the film has us completely sold. If you don't get chills when you see Isla Fisher's Myrtle Wilson get hit by Gatsby's yellow car, you need to watch this trailer again (or you just didn't do your summer reading).

"The Great Gatsby" stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Fisher and Jason Clarke. It is going to be released in both 2D and 3D. The film is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic, tragic American novel.
