Simon Cowell dating Carmen Electra - 'X Factor' honcho finally confirms relationship

Simon Cowell tells Ryan Seacrest what most of us already knew. He's dating Carmen Electra. The rumors started months ago with a spy reporting the pair were spotted kissing at a dinner party.

Cowell has stayed mostly mum on the subject until now, when he gave his old "American Idol" pal Seacrest a call to confirm the fling. Ryan aired the conversation on his morning radio show.

Simon, ever the bachelor though, refuses to confirm that Carmen is his girlfriend. "We're people who date," he tells Seacrest. "She's adorable, isn't she?"

So, what is this, a friends with benefits type of arrangement? "People who date?" Perhaps Cowell is in no rush to settle down after recently ending his engagement to makeup artist  Mezhgan Hussainy -- a breakup that cost him an $8 million mansion.

Carmen, a former Playboy model and Pussycat Doll, may not be in a rush either after two failed marriages -- to Dennis Rodman and Dave Navarro. She was most recently engaged to rocker Rob Patterson, of Filter fame.
