'Man of Steel': New trailer adds action to Superman's origin story
The first full trailer for "Man of Steel" has arrived online, and it packs quite a bit into its 2 1/2 minutes.
The trailer expands on the twin teasers fans saw at Comic-Con in July, playing up the notion that Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) is destined to change the world -- even though Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) fears the world will "reject" his adopted son. It also adds a good deal of action and introduces several characters not seen in the teasers.
You'll get glimpses of Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod and Diane Lane as Martha Kent, plus some very quick edits of destruction on Krypton and Earth. Some footage of a handcuffed Superman -- a la the poster released last week -- is also in the trailer, which will play in front of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" in theaters this weekend.
"Man of Steel" is set for release on June 14, 2013. What do you think of the trailer? Are you excited to see Superman on the big screen again?
