Kim Kardashian sparks protests in Bahrain with trip to the Middle East
Kim Kardashian's whirlwind trip to the Middle East included stops in Kuwait and Bahrain for openings of two Millions of Milkshakes shops. The Bahrain visit sparked protests from Muslim hardliners according to Reuters.
Somewhere around 100 Sunni Salafists demonstrated in objection to Kardashian's visit. Police cleared out the demonstrators and Kardashian's visit otherwise seemed to go off without a hitch.
Hardline politicians had already presented a motion to parliament calling Kardashian "an actress with an extremely bad reputation." (Hmm, wonder where they got that idea?)
A vote was not taken on the motion.
Kardashian later Tweeted:
Thanks @sheerazhasan and Paresh A Shah for an amazing trip to The Kingdom of Bahrain and Kuwait. We did it!!! sheerazinc.com

Hopefully this means Kardashian now has a better understanding of the Middle East.
