Kate Middleton pregnancy less than 12 weeks along - Baby should be due in the spring

Kate Middleton is officially pregnant, which means a new heir to the British throne is on the way. It turns out there's only about half a year to wait until the baby is due, as a royal spokesperson confirmed that Middleton is less than 12 weeks pregnant.

That means that we should expect a new baby in the royal household in about six months, placing the expected birth date at sometime around May. However, it could be that there is more than one newborn on the way.

Middleton was hospitalized at the King Edward VII Hospital earlier today with hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition which Professor Tim Draycott, a consultant obstetrician at the University of Bristol, tells Reuters is "slightly more common with twins." That's no guarantee that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting two royal heirs instead of one, but there is a chance that she could be having twins.
