Kate Middleton confidential information revealed during prank call
All it took was a really bad impersonation of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles to get past King Edward VII Hospital security and find out private information about the currently hospitalized Kate Middleton. Two Australian DJs, Mel Greig and Michael Christian, called the hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning and asked a nurse to give them a status update on the Duchess of Cambridge by doing a poor impersonation of the Queen -- and it worked.
"If this has worked, it's the easiest prank call we've ever made," Michael told listeners of their 2DayFM radio program. At one point, one of the men pretended to be the queen's corgis barking in the background.
According to Daily Mail, the nurse who took the call not only bought it but also told the "Queen" that Middleton was about to be "freshened up," adding, "She's sleeping at the moment and she has had an uneventful night. She's been given some fluids, she's stable at the moment." The nurse then went on to give confidential details of Middleton's treatment and condition, and even arranged an appropriate time for Her Royal Highness to come visit.
Needless to say, the hospital is now cracking down on security measures.
