Jennifer Lopez $20 million extortion suit dismissed - Judge sides with Hakob Manoukian

Jennifer Lopez didn't get the gift she truly desired for Christmas this year. The singer had filed a $20 million extortion countersuit against her former driver Hakob Manoukian after he sued her for wrongful termination, and the judge on the case moved to dismiss Lopez's claim.

E! News learned that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Joseph Kalin decided to strike Lopez's cross-complaint during a Dec. 21 hearing. That means that her claims that Manoukian threatened to share "disruptive and potentially damaging" information about Lopez unless she paid him $2.8 million are not being considered.

Manoukian sued Lopez in the spring after he felt he had been unfairly fired in 2011. He had been working as a part-time driver for Lopez and Marc Anthony since 2005, but was hired to full-time chauffeur in April 2011. Manoukin says he didn't receive the pay he deserved and was humiliated by Lopez's manager, Benny Medina. After he complained, Manoukin was demoted and eventually fired. He is seeking unspecified damages and compensation.
