Jenna Bush Hager announces she's expecting her first child

Jenna Bush Hager has announced that she is pregnant with her first child. The daughter of former President George W. Bush revealed the exciting news during a recent visit to "Today."

"We're so excited and nervous about it," she said on the show. "I'm a first-time mom, but it's something I've always wanted. I'm a teacher and I love kids."

Hager added that her child is due in the spring, saying, "We've been able to keep it a secret just to us, and obviously so sacred, for a pretty long time."

Her husband, Henry, brought her flowers on the show and said he thinks she's going to be an "amazing" mom. "Today" also called up Hager's parents, who admitted their excitement about her pregnancy.

"Fired up," President Bush said of his response to the news he's going to be a grandfather for the first time. "Looking forward to it. I'm excited for Jenna and Henry. I could barely contain the news when I found out, but now I can tell all my buddies."
