George Lucas: 'I don't really have much to do' on 'Star Wars: Episode VII'

George Lucas will be involved in the making of the upcoming "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, but it might not be as much as some might think. The "Star Wars" creator has a "consultant" title on the films, and it turns out that doesn't mean that much.

"[If the filmmakers ask],'Who's this guy?' I can tell them," Lucas tells Access Hollywood. "I mean, they have a hundred encyclopedias and things, but I actually know a lot. I can say, 'This is this and this is that.'"

He adds, "Basically I'm not -- I don't really have much to do."

Screenwriter Michael Arndt is currently writing the script for "Star Wars: Episode VII." No director has been selected yet, but many believe "X-Men: First Class" helmer Matthew Vaughn will be the man to take the job. "Star Wars: Episode VII" is due in theaters in 2015.
