Amanda Bynes settlement reached in hit-and-run case
Amanda Bynes has resolved at least of couple of her legal problems -- namely, the actress is off the hook for the two hit-and-run charges after entering into a civil settlement with the other drivers.Per E! News, Bynes' attorney, Richard Hutton, appeared in court Wednesday (Dec. 12), presenting the two civil compromise forms indicating that the victims of the April 10, 2012 and Aug. 4, 2012 hit-and-run incidents had received "full satisfaction" and wanted the matter dismissed.
TMZ reports that the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office strongly objected, since there were multiple incidents and Bynes has a pending DUI case. However, Judge Thomas Rubinson overruled the objection and granted the deal.
"Amanda is satisfied and grateful for this outcome of the case," her attorney tells E! News.
But the actress isn't in the clear just yet. In addition to her DUI charge, she also still faces two counts of driving while on a suspended license.
