Stephen Colbert's wax double is unveiled at Madame Tussaud's in Washington

He's already a fake pundit, but now Stephen Colbert is also a fake man. That is to say, there's a waxwork version of Colbert now on display at Madame Tussaud's in Washington, DC.

The non-wax version of Colbert was on hand for the unveiling of his non-living doppelganger. The wax Colbert will sit in a replica of the stage from "The Colbert Report" and wears clothes actually worn by the comedian during the program. Apparently, the site of the new Colbert exhibit took over for an older Dan Rather waxwork. Other wax figures in the "Media Room" at Madame Tussaud's include Oprah Winfrey, Katie Couric and Larry King.

Obviously, the comedian -- who started out playing a pundit on "The Daily Show" before beginning his own nightly comedy program in 2005 -- enjoyed his replica. Colbert's remarks at the unveiling shared his feelings of honor to be standing next to his "Man-Crayon."

Considering that most of Colbert's public persona is an act, will we even be able to tell the wax Stephen apart from the real one?
