Shakira sued by ex - Antonio de la Rúa claims she jilted him for $100 million

Shakira's ex-boyfriend and former manager, Antonio de la Rúa, is suing the "Hips Don't Lie" singer and mom-to-be for $100 million.

The New York Post reports Rúa claims in his lawsuit he is responsible for turning Shakira's brand into a profit gold mine.

Rúa and Shakira dated from 2000 to 2010. The boyfriend became business manager after the pop star's 2004 tour fizzled in earnings. Rúa says he is responsible for helping Shakira earn "tens of millions of dollars" on tours, as well as landing a $300 million Live Nation deal.

When the couple broke up, Rúa claims Shakira promised to keep paying him his share of her profits. But in 2011, she had a lawyer fire him.

Now pregnant by boyfriend and Spanish soccer star Gerard Piqué, Shakira has refused to pay Rúa what he is owed, according to the lawsuit.
