Robert Pattinson wants Edward to be gay in sixth 'Twilight' movie

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" hasn't even hit theaters yet, and already there is talk over more "Twilight" movies in the works. So what would another film be about? Stephenie Meyer's book series ends at "Breaking Dawn," but leading man Robert Pattinson pitched some interesting ideas for a sequel to Ellen DeGeneres in an interview airing today on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

"[It could be about] if there was an alien invasion and stuff," he jokes to DeGeneres in the above video. "I was talking about this the other day. Maybe if they mixed it up with 'The Avengers,' or just make it 'Twilight'-slash-'Avengers.'"

But Pattinson's best idea, in our opinion, is to style the potential sixth "Twilight Saga" movie off of one of our favorite sitcoms from the '90s: "Will & Grace."

"I was also thinking another way to do it is make it a little like 'Will and Grace,' where Edward turns gay, but they still stay together, and they raise the kid and everything," he says while DeGeneres and Taylor Lautner laugh. "Maybe just combine that with an alien invasion."
