PETA wants Honey Boo Boo to rename her pet chicken Nugget

After Glitzy the pig was sent back to the farm, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson's family gave her a new pet -- a chicken that she named Nugget. And PETA is pretty peeved at the 7-year-old.

"We hope that she will be loved and cared for as a permanent member of your family and that you consider changing her name to 'Not a Nugget' after our youth outreach mascot in order to honor her as your friend and protect other chickens just like her," they suggest in a letter obtained by E!.

Seriously.

They also sent her some healthy vegan "chicken" nuggets, which we assume she can eat alongside her butter and ketchup spaghetti soup. "Since vegan foods are healthier, eating them instead of real chicken nuggets can help you have more power than ever on stage!"
