Nikki Sixx engaged to model Courtney Bingham - She is half his age

Motley Crue rocker Nikki Sixx and model Courtney Bingham are engaged. The announcement was made -- how else? -- via Twitter.

Courtney, a twenty-six-year-old model, tweeted, "I'm so excited to share with you that @NikkiSixx and I are engaged!!!!!!!!"

She then proceeded to retweet news stories about the engagement, including one with paparazzi shots of her giant engagement bling. The couple got engaged on a trip to St. Bart's.

Nikki is 53, and has children with his two ex-wives, Brandi Brandt and Donna D'Errico, both former Playboy Playmates. He was most recently linked to Kat Von D.

Bingham, who is roughly half Sixx's age, apologized to her fans for over-tweeting, saying she "got a little tweet happy there with all this engagement buzz." She then told fans she and Nikki were going to go catch up on "Homeland."
