Regardless of political affiliation, fashionistas everywhere held their breath on Election Day 2012 to see what dress Michelle Obama would wear that night for her husband Barack Obama's acceptance or concession speech.

The First Lady celebrated her husband's re-election victory by pulling a three-peat. Michelle recycled a Michael Kors dress she had worn twice before.

People magazine reports Mrs. Obama was too busy with the campaign and her kids to choose a new dress, and selected the Kors look at the last minute.

Michael Kors says in a statement, "Mrs. Obama looked chic and elegant as always on election night. My dress, with its strong color, clean lines and feminine silhouette, has all the elements that have become a part of the trademark style of our First Lady."

Michelle paired the pintuck magenta silk chine dress with a black shrug and a House of Lavande Vintage brooch.
