Mayim Bialik divorce: 'Big Bang Theory' star seeks joint custody of children

"The Big Bang Theory" actress Mayim Bialik filed divorce papers the same day she announced her split from Michael Stone.

Bialik said in a blog post last week that she and Stone, her husband of nine years, were splitting. She filed the legal documents the same day, but they weren't released by the L.A. County court system until Thursday (Nov. 29).

The documents don't reveal a lot that isn't in the former "Blossom" star's blog post about her divorce. She cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for her split from Stone and is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their two sons, Miles and Frederick.

"The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible," Bialik wrote last week. "Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that's what we are focusing on."
