Lindsay Lohan criminal charges filed for lying to police officers

Lindsay Lohan is not having a good day. Not only was she arrested earlier this morning for assaulting a woman at a nightclub in New York City, but the Santa Monica City Attorney has filed three criminal charges against her for lying to police officers following her June car accident.

TMZ reports that the City Attorney has filed three criminal complaints against Lohan, 26. They include giving false information to a peace officer, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty and reckless driving. Those are punishable by six months in jail, a year in jail and 90 days in jail, respectively.

Lohan will likely be arraigned in court next week and, when that happens, the judge will revoke her probation and then set a hearing to determine if and when Lohan is headed to jail again, TMZ reports. One of the conditions of LiLo's probation was that she follow all laws, and she has managed to have broken that fur times today. We'll keep you posted on this developing story.
