Kim Kardashian regains 'most searched person' title from Justin Bieber

So says Bing, which has released its list of its top searches for 2012 (albeit with still more than a month left in a year). Kardashian reclaims the title as the most searched-for person, which she held in 2010 but lost to Justin Bieber last year. Bieber falls one spot to No. 2 on Bing's list.

Rounding out the Top 10 are Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Aniston, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.

Rihanna, Gomez, Minaj and Swift are all newcomers to the Top 10, while Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Megan Fox dropped out.

You'll notice that none of the Top 10 have anything to do with the presidential election. Apparently Bing users weren't super into politics this year, as Mitt Romney comes in 43rd on the people rankings and Barack Obama 46th.

The 2012 elections weren't even the most searched news story of the year. That honor belongs to the iPhone 5, which probably says something not especially positive about our culture. The Olympics, Hurricane Sandy and ... "Honey Boo Boo reality show" fill out the Top 5 news stories.
