Katie Holmes kisses Josh Hamilton in 'Dead Accounts' - but there's no romance offstage
Katie Holmes officially returned to Broadway on Monday (Nov. 5) in the first preview performance of "Dead Accounts," a play written by "Smash" creator Theresa Rebeck. And while Holmes and her married co-star Josh Hamilton share a passionate kiss onstage -- while they are acting (because, you know, they're actors) -- they are not involved romantically offstage, despite some rumblings that Hamilton has a crush on Holmes.
"That is just more scandal press garbage," a good friend of Holmes tells the Chicago Sun-Times. "Katie is not interested in anyone romantically right now. She is completely consumed with providing Suri a stable homelife and doing a great job with this play."
Tom Cruise's ex made her Broadway debut in 2008 in a revival of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons," opposite Patrick Wilson.
