John Cusack: Rush Limbaugh biopic in the works

John Cusack's production company, New Crime Productions, is developing a film about controversial radio talk show host, Rush Limbaugh. The working title of the film is "Rush," with Cusack, a liberal, starring as the colorful conservative.

In a statement, Cusack's rep tells THR, "The script would explore the rise and reinvention of American Talk Radio, and Limbaugh's continued influence and impact over the last three decades in that world."

With the script nearly finished, a director is loosely attached to the project. "Betty Thomas, who covered similar terrain in her portrait of Howard Stern, is interested in directing," says Cusack's rep.
