Joe Jackson hospitalized for 'mild' stroke

Joe Jackson suffered a stroke Thursday (Nov. 29) morning and is being treated at a hospital in Las Vegas, a source close to the Jackson family tells CNN.

The 83-year-old Jackson family patriarch "is in very good spirits" and should leave the hospital Friday. Described as "mild," the stroke is similar to two others Jackson has had in the past five years.  

Jackson, who famously created and managed his sons' group, the Jackson 5, is married to Katherine Jackson, though the two live separately. He has a home in Las Vegas, and she's in Calabasas, California, with Michael Jackson's three children.
