Jimmy Workman, brother of Ariel Winter, denies abuse allegations

If Jimmy Workman is to be believed, his sister Ariel Winter isn't being abused by their mother.

Yesterday it was reported that Winter, one of the young stars of "Modern Family," had been removed from her mother's custody following abuse allegations at an Oct. 3 court hearing. She's currently with her older sister, actress Shanelle Workman, who also went through a similar situation when she was a child back in the 1990s.

Though Shanelle was placed in foster care at the time, and though their mother, Chrisoula "Crystal" Workman, has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from her 14-year-old daughter, Workman claims that his mother has never abused his younger sister.

"There is no truth to these allegations," he tells Us Weekly. "The allegations made 20 years ago are not true and the ones today are not true."

Workman continues, "This is a mother who does everything for her kids, ... Chris misses Ariel and wants her to come home."
