Gerard Depardieu detained for driving drunk on a scooter

Driving while drunk is never okay, even if you're riding on a scooter. French actor Gerard Depardieu learned that lesson the hard way after he was brought into the police station for driving drunk in Paris on his scooter. Depardieu was detained after he fell off his vehicle.

According to Reuters, Depardieu injured his elbow during the accident but no one else was hurt. He failed a sobriety test after police detained him.

This isn't the first time Depardieu has had issues with alcohol and the law. He crashed his motorcycle in 1998 after driving while drunk, and his alcohol level was found to be five times over the legal limit, the Associated Press reports. He walked away without any major injuries.
