Dannielynn Birkhead models for GUESS: Anna Nicole Smith's daughter follows in mom's footsteps

Anna Nicole Smith has been immortalized by her iconic GUESS ads, and now her daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead, is stepping into mom's shoes by modeling for the latest GUESS Kids print campaign. Smith appeared in the memorable ads in 1992 and 1993, and the images were revived several times throughout her modeling career.

Obviously, six-year-old Dannielynn's pics are age-appropriate, where her mom's shots weren't exactly back-to-school fashion. "Dannielynn had fun paying tribute to her mom with the GUESS ad campaign, but it is back to school for her which is her focus. The first thing she asked is 'When will I be on the shopping bags like Mommy?'" her father, Larry Birkhead, told USA Today.

"Dannielynn has the same playful spirit that her mother had on set," creative director Paul Marciano adds. "She is a second-generation GUESS girl."

The advertisements -- which also feature Babyface's daughter, Peyton Edmunds -- were shot in Malibu, on a beach. They'll start appearing in magazines and on billboards in early 2013.
