'Bronco Bama' girl Abigael Evans gets NPR apology
The little girl who spoke so profoundly for an entire nation when she said, "I'm tired of 'Bronco Bama' and Mitt Romney" received a public apology from NPR.
The Los Angeles Times reports 4-year-old Abigael Evans, whose tearful YouTube video went viral, was the target of a message on NPR's web site. Correspondent Mark Memmott wrote, "On behalf of NPR and all other news outlets, we apologize to Abigael and all the many others who probably feel like her. We must confess, the campaign's gone on long enough for us, too. Let's just keep telling ourselves: 'Only a few more days, only a few more days, only a few more days.'"
A local reporter in Abigael's home state of Colorado says the girl was cheered up by receiving an NPR politics pin.
