Brad Pitt opens up about fatherhood and turning 50

Brad Pitt's focus in life has changed a lot over the past decade. During that time, he became a father and, as he tells "Good Morning America," "it turned everything on its head."

Pitt and his fiancé, Angelina Jolie, have a total of six children together. Some of those children they adopted while others they had, but all of them have changed Pitt's life for the better. "I love it. I love it," he says.

The children and impending marriage aren't the only big changes in Pitt's life, though. He's also considering shifting the focus of his acting career now that he's nearing the age of 50. Currently 48, the "Killing Them Softly" actor says he's thought a lot about that major turning point and how it will affect him.

"I've given a lot of thought to it," Pitt says. "You become very aware of time. I think also being a father, you become very -- everything's time allocation for me now ... spending my time wisely and doing the things that are important to me."
