Box office: 'Twilight' and 'Skyfall' stay on top while 'Lincoln' surprises
Thanksgiving weekend at the box office is on the right track for to set some new records. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" continues to bust out, raking in $17.4 million on Black Friday and bringing its projected five-day gross to $63.5 million.Daniel Craig's "Skyfall" exceeded the $200 million mark in its third week. The James Bond film brought in $14.7 million Friday, domestically.
Bringing up third, "Lincoln" continues to create Oscar buzz, as well as profits. The film grossed nearly $10 million Friday -- almost double its Thursday earnings.
DreamWorks animated "Rise of the Guardians" disappointed at fourth with $9.2 million. "Life of Pi" jumped for the second night in a row, bringing in $8.8 million, and a fifth place box office ranking.
"Wreck-It Ralph" stayed steady, taking in $6.6 million, followed by the "Red Dawn" remake, which scored $6 million. The buzz around Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence's "Silver Linings Playbook" didn't translate to the box office. The film took in $1.6 million Friday.
