Taylor Swift sells 1.2 million copies of 'Red' in its first week
There's no stopping Taylor Swift -- the singer has officially sold more than 1.2 million copies of her latest album, "Red," in its first week of release according to Nielsen SoundScan's charts. That's the most albums moved in one week since Eminem's "The Eminem Show" in 2002."Red" is the first album to sell more than a million copies in one week since Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" in 2011, reports Billboard, which also notes that it's the second-largest album debut for a female artist ever, following the sale of 1.319 million copies of Britney Spears' "Oops! ...I Did It Again" in 2000.

Breathe easy, *NSYNC fans: The boy band still holds the record for most albums sold in one week when "No Strings Attached" sold 2.416 copies in 2000.
Swift will embark on a gigantic North American tour in support of "Red" beginning in March of 2013.
