Tagg Romney has apologized to President Obama for 'swing' remark

Following the second presidential debate, which became quite heated at times between incumbent President Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney, Tagg Romney, the eldest of Romney's five sons, told a North Carolina radio station that hearing the president say his father is lying makes him want to "rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him."

Tagg made the comment in a lighthearted manner, but it's election season and nothing can be taken in a lighthearted way. It got pundits all up in arms and so Tagg has issued an apology to the president, reports ABC news.

A Romney campaign official tells ABC that Tagg apologized, but no other details have been made available at this time.
