Stevie Nicks apology: Mariah Carey should not strangle Nicki Minaj

Legendary singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks spoke out against Nicki Minaj for trash talking Mariah Carey during a recent "American Idol" shoot.

In a video posted by TMZ, Minaj can be heard shouting comments about Carey such as, "I told them I'm not f**kin' putting up with her f**kin' highness over there."

Stevie Nicks decided to weigh in on the drama, telling The Daily, "f I had been Mariah, I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there."

Nicks is now apologizing for her statement, saying, "It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said. I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her life and I spoke without thinking."
