San Francisco Giants sweep 2012 World Series
The San Francisco Giants clinched their second World Series title in three years with a 4-0 sweep against the Detroit Tigers to become the 2012 baseball champions.The final game of the series was certainly suspenseful, with the Tigers fighting back to force 10 innings, until Marco Scutaro hit a single to send Ryan Theriot home to score the winning run, making the final score 4-3 Giants.

"That's what makes it so much special, the way we did it," Scutaro tells MLB.com after the game. "We were always against the wall and my teammates just came through first series, second series and now we swept the Tigers. That's what I told my team. 'Please, I don't want to be against the wall again. Let's get rid of this quick.'"
