Obama uses Big Bird in Romney attack ad - 'Sesame Street' says leave us out of it
Forget Wall Street -- the real enemy? Big Bird. And Mitt Romney will take him down. That's the theme of President Obama's latest attack ad against Romney.
The commercial features excerpts from last week's presidential debate, in which Romney promises to cut federal funding of PBS, despite the candidate's love for Big Bird, the lovable yellow character from "Sesame Street."
Sesame Workshop is asking the Obama campaign to pull the ad, and makes the following statement on their web site:
"Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down."
