Neiman Marcus 2012 Christmas Book fantasy gifts include jetpack and $350k Spider sports car

The luxury retailer unveiled its annual holiday catalog Tuesday (Oct. 9), known for its extravagant fantasy gifts.

For 2012, the nine aspirational items in the book include a $354,000 special edition McLaren 12C Spider sports car; a $100,000 hen house; a $70,000 piece from artist Robert Wilson; and a $250,000 dinner for 10 prepared by famed chefs Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Richard Rosendale and Jerome Bocuse. Big-budget shoppers can also score a $150,000 wood-paneled tailgating trailer pre-stocked with bourbon and rye, a $99,500 water-propelled jetpack, a $90,000 arcade gaming machine, and a $30,000 walk-on role in "Annie: The Musical."

The most expensive item among the fantasy gifts is the $1.09 million pair of Van Cleef & Arpels watches, depicting scenes from Paris. The buyer also gets a trip to the City of Light to see the pictured monuments themselves and Geneva to tour the Van Cleef & Arpels watchmaking workshops.
