Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael seeks conservatorship for daughter

Following Michael Lohan's failed intervention with daughter Lindsay Lohan, LiLo's dad is headed to court in an attempt to get a conservatorship for Lindsay, who he says is abusing drugs and hanging with a bad crowd.

TMZ reports that Michael will meet with lawyers this week about the possibility of a conservatorship, but he does not want to be Lindsay's conservator himself. He also doesn't want Lindsay's mom, Dina Lohan, who he says is a bad influence, to be her conservator.

Michael wants a conservator to send Lindsay to rehab and convince Dina that the whole family needs therapy, something he says Lindsay's mom has refused in the past.

It turns out Lindsay's dad isn't the only one concerned about the actress: TMZ reports that her entire management team was involved in Michael's attempted intervention on Friday (Oct. 19).

However, Lindsay is reportedly telling friends that she's not concerned at the possibility of her father actually getting a conservatorship and that the drug and alcohol abuse claims are all lies.

"No judge would buy it," Lindsay says, per TMZ. "They would have a hard time believing the claims of someone who was investigated for insider trading, arrested for domestic violence multiple times, arrested for assault, has a drunk driving arrest, and has been in and out of jail and prison for years."
