Leighton Meester's drastic short haircut: You like her new 'do?

Leighton Meester got a breakup haircut!

Shortly after filming her final scenes for "Gossip Girl," which concludes its series run this fall, the actress-singer went to a salon and "washed" that show right out of her hair.

"Yes! I chopped off my hair after 'Gossip Girl' wrapped," the former Blair Waldorf told Just Jared at a bash Thursday night (Oct. 25) honoring her cover for Flaunt magazine.

"My long, wavy hair got a lot of mileage, so it was time for a change," Meester explained. "The girl who did my hair on the show [Lizzie Reilly] chopped it off and I love it. I hop out of the shower and it takes five minutes to dry!"
