Debbie Reynolds hospitalized for 'adverse reaction' to medication

debbie-reynolds-hospitalized--gi.jpgSinger and actress Debbie Reynolds, 80, was hospitalized over the weekend in Los Angeles after and bad reaction to some medication and may have to cancel her upcoming appearances.

The "Singin' in the Rain" star was treated at Cedars Sinai "due to an adverse reaction she experienced to a medication she was currently taking," her rep tells USA Today.

Initially, her rep said Reynolds would be canceling her engagements for the next three months, but following her release from the hospital on Wednesday (Oct. 10), her manager tells EW that may not be the case.

"We are taking a wait and see position regarding future personal appearances and will abide by the doctor's advice," he says.

Margie Duncan, who works with Reynolds, says she "just needs to take it easy for awhile."
