Britney Spears and Jason Trawick buy $8.5 million house

"X Factor" judge Britney Spears has reportedly bought a new pad, according to TMZ. And it's even further away from all the Hollywood hubbub than her previous Calabasas, Calif., home.

The 8,456-square-foot mansion is located in a gated community in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The place has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a wine cellar, home theater, library and infinity pool. Per the Real Estalker blog, the house sits on 1.4 acres and overlooks a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.

According to Zillow, Spears and Trawick had most recently been living in a 10,000-square-foot rental in Thousand Oaks.

And don't worry about Spears having a long commute when "The X Factor" comes to Los Angeles. TMZ reports that the singer will be staying in a fancy hotel in L.A.
