Beyonce's collaboration with Clint Eastwood is no longer happening. The performer has announced that she's had to drop out of his planned "A Star is Born" remake due to conflicting schedules.

"I was looking forward to the production of 'A Star Is Born' and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood," the Grammy winner tells E! News. "For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together."

At least she didn't drop from the project because of Eastwood's little chair routine at the Republican National Convention, though Beyonce is a big Obama supporter. The partnership between the "Dreamgirls" actress and the Oscar-winning director was first announced in January 2011, with Beyonce set to take on the lead role in the iconic musical. The romantic lead in the film has yet to be cast, and Eastwood has previously said he won't cast anyone until next year.
