Beyonce and Jay-Z are not granted 'Blue Ivy' trademark

Tim Tebow might be the proud legal owner of the term "Tebowing." but Beyonce and Jay-Z have not been granted the trademark for their child's name, Blue Ivy.

Back on Jan. 26, the couple filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office to get a trademark for their baby's unique name. Unfortunately for Beyonce and Jay-Z, a Boston event planning company has had the name since 2009 and sued the couple for their attempt to gain the trademark. Fox News Boston reports that Blue Ivy events won the suit last week.

That means that Blue Ivy's parents have no legal rights to her name. We guess that means we won't be seeing the baby product line that Beyonce had planned any time soon. But at least Blue Ivy's name is still safe from anyone else trying to take advantage of it.
