Amanda Bynes: Jennie Garth reached out to her, unsuccessfully

The Amanda Bynes drama has been playing out for months. The actress has had several run-ins with the law regarding her driving and a couple incidents of erratic public behavior. Former "What I Like About You" co-star Jennie Garth, who played Bynes' sister on the WB sitcom for four years, says she has tried to help Bynes (pictured together in 2009).

"I tried reaching out to her and I haven't been able to reach her. My heart feels for whatever she is going through and I love her dearly," says Garth to US Weekly at the ELLE Women in Hollywood event.

Bynes' parents have reportedly put their Texas home on the market and moved out to Los Angeles, at least for now, to hep their daughter, but a source tells US Weekly that Amanda "shut them out" and isn't speaking to them.

Another insider says, "Amanda is out of control. It's been slowly going on for years, but now it's getting really bad."
