Michael Clarke Duncan funeral arrangements set
Michael Clarke Duncan, who died Sept. 3 at age 54, will be laid to rest Monday, Sept. 10, at a private memorial service in Los Angeles.
Fans of the Oscar-nominated "Green Mile" star will be able to pay their respects in a public viewing of his casket at the Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks and Mortuaries in Hollywood Hills on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Clarke Duncan had been hospitalized since suffering a heart attack July 13 and "never fully recovered," says a family spokesperson.
The 6'5" actor, often referred to as a "gentle giant," was engaged to marry reality star Omarosa Manigault next year.
Actor Tom Hanks was one of many celebrities who paid tribute to the late actor.
"I am terribly saddened at the loss of Big Mike," Hanks said in a statement. "He was the treasure we all discovered on the set of 'The Green Mile.' He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned."
